This has become a staple in the professional detailer's arsenal of go-to tools. It has replaced the old mesh bug sponge. The yellow honeycomb material, when wet, combines the best characteristics of a scrubbing sponge: it will agitate dirt, tar, and bugs and will not scratch! Keep it wet!! It won't scratch paint! Soaking it down with water softens the block so it works perfectly; and hot water even softens it more!!
